Hiruni Malsha Kumaratunga, a student of Galle Sanghamitta Girls’ College, has managed to claim the first place in the island according to the results of this year’s G.C.E O/L examination.
The examination department stated that the second place was won by Kuluni Metsara of Colombo Musius College and Vimansa Jayanadhi Ratnaweera of Kurunegala Maliadeva Girls’ College.
According to this year’s results, three female students have placed fourth in the island.
The examination department said that Seshani Sehansa Jayawardena of Vishaka Girls’ College Colombo, Metuki Chamodi Perera of Nugegoda Anula College and Nadun Pamuditha Ranawaka of Galle Sanghamitta Girls’ College have been placed fourth.
Four students have been elected to the seventh place and Nemdini Wonara Adhikari of Nugegoda Anula Vidyalaya, Thatsara Kavindi of Ratnawali Girls’ College Gampaha, Tamashi Dhananjana Wickramage of Panadura Sri Sumangala Girls’ College and Sakuna Sadeeshan Samaravikrama of Matara Rahula Vidyalaya have occupied the position.
