The Youth Service Centre in Kandy has announced the launch of new Technical and Vocational Training Programs 2025. These programs are designed to equip young people with essential skills and knowledge in various fields, including computer applications, English language proficiency, and horticultural development.
The center is accepting applications from interested individuals, including those who have completed the GCE Ordinary Level examination. The selection process will involve an interview, scheduled to take place until January 15th, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
The training programs offered by the Youth Service Centre are recognized by the National Vocational Qualifications Framework (NVQ). The center is also registered with the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission under registration number P09 003.
Key Training Programs:
- Computer Training: 2-day program focusing on essential computer skills. Fee: LKR 16,200.
- English Language Training: 2-day program designed to improve English language proficiency. Fee: LKR 13,200.
- Horticulture Development Assistant (NVQ Level 4): Full-time, 5-week program covering various aspects of horticulture. Fee: LKR 9,200.
- Food Technology Training: 2-week program focusing on food-related technologies. Fee: LKR 21,200.
