The University of Colombo Faculty of Education has announced the launch of PGDE (Drama and Theatre) 2025/2026 for the 2025/2026 academic year. The program will be offered in both full-time and part-time formats.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Full-Time Program:
- They should possess a degree in Drama and Theatre Arts, Fine Arts, or Aesthetics from a university recognized by the University Grants Commission, with at least 30 credits.
- Alternatively, they must have a first degree from a university along with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in the field of Drama and Theatre Arts.
- Those with an NVQ Level 7 (equivalent to a first degree) and relevant experience approved by the Faculty of Education and the University of Colombo Senate are also eligible.
- Part-Time Program:
- Similar eligibility criteria as the full-time program apply.
Course Details:
- Full-time Program: One-year duration, full-time at the Faculty of Education, University of Colombo. An interview will be conducted for admission.
- Part-time Program: 15-18 months duration, conducted on weekends at the Faculty of Education, University of Colombo. An interview will be conducted for admission.
Course Fee: Rs. 150,000/- for both full-time and part-time programs.
