Applications are invited for Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship For 2025 -Teacher Training Programme
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism has announced the availability of Japanese Government (MEXT) scholarships for the 2025 Teacher Training Programme. The scholarships are being offered by the Government of Japan through the Japanese Embassy in Colombo.
The Ministry has requested the Ministry of Education to nominate eligible candidates for the programme. The deadline for nominations is January 31, 2025. Interested and qualified candidates should meet the requirements outlined in the Application Guidelines (Annex II).
Written academic examinations and interviews will be conducted jointly by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Education, and the Japanese Embassy on February 26, 2025.
The Ministry of Education is encouraged to disseminate this information to potential candidates and ensure that suitable nominations are submitted to the Japanese Embassy by the deadline.
