External Degree Programs 2024/2025 – 3rd Intake Ocean University of Sri Lanka | The Center for Open & Distance Learning at Ocean University of Sri Lanka is now accepting applications for its external degree programs for the academic year 2024/2025. The university is offering two specialized programs: the Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Aquaculture and Seafood Technology and the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Supply Chain Management. Both programs are three years in duration and aim to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their respective fields.

Available Programs:

1. B.Tech in Aquaculture and Seafood Technology (AST)
   • Duration: 3 years
   • This program is tailored for those interested in the fields of aquaculture, seafood technology, and related industries.
2. B.Sc in Supply Chain Management (SCM)
   • Duration: 3 years
   • This program focuses on logistics, procurement, and supply chain management, preparing students for careers in this essential business area.

Entry Qualifications:

• B.Tech in Aquaculture and Seafood Technology:
  • NVQ Level 5 or 6 in relevant technology areas (Aquaculture, Food Technology)
  • OR at least three “S” passes from G.C.E. (A/L) in Bio-System Technology/Biology Stream (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Agriculture)
  • OR at least three passes from London A/L – Cambridge or Edexcel in the Biological stream.
• B.Sc in Supply Chain Management:
  • NVQ Level 5 or 6 in relevant areas
  • OR at least three “S” passes from G.C.E. (A/L) in any stream
  • OR three “S” passes from London A/L – (Cambridge or Edexcel) in any stream.

Course Fee:

• The total fee for each program is Rs. 420,000, payable in installments.

Course Delivery:

• Lectures are conducted in English through both online and physical modes, primarily during weekends and weekday evenings.
• Practical sessions will take place at the university and other affiliated institutes.
