The Education Employees Cooperative Thrift and Credit Society Limited (EDCS) has announced the EDCS University Scholarship Application opening. The scholarships aim to support the educational aspirations of members and their children, with specific eligibility criteria outlined for applicants.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following conditions to qualify for the scholarship:
- Be enrolled in a reputed Sri Lankan university for a degree program for the first time in the 2023/2024 academic year.
- Have passed the G.C.E. (A/L) examination in 2022.
- Be a child of a registered member who has completed at least five years of membership with EDCS as of January 31, 2024. Alternatively, applicants can be a clergy member of the Buddhist, Hindu, or Catholic/Christian faith with similar membership tenure.
- Clergy members must have completed five years since passing their Advanced Level Examination.
