Rajarata University of Sri Lanka has announced its Diploma in English (Extension) program for the year 2025 (Intake 25). Offered through the Centre for Distance and Continuing Education (CDCE), this program is designed to enhance English proficiency for individuals in both the public and private sectors as well as school leavers.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet one of the following requirements to qualify for the program:
- GCE Advanced Level or Equivalent:
- A pass in the GCE Advanced Level examination or an equivalent qualification equivalent to SLQF Level 2 or NVQ Level 4.
- GCE Ordinary Level English Proficiency:
- A credit pass for English at GCE (O/L) or a minimum pass (S) in General English at GCE (A/L).
- Alternatively, a Basic or Professional English Certificate from a recognized institution or a pass in the National Certificate in English (NCE).
- Degree or Equivalent Qualification:
- A degree in English from a recognized university or other qualifications deemed suitable by the university’s Senate.
