Daham Pasal Final Certificate Examinations (2023 & 2024)

Applications are invited for  Buddhist Daham Pasal Final Certificate Examinations (2023 & 2024) by the Department of Examinations, Sri Lanka

Candidates who wish to participate in the examination can apply through their nearest Dhamma school by paying a fee of Rs. 200. All Dhamma school principals will be provided with necessary instructions for the application process.

Key Points:

• Application Deadline: Applications must be submitted by September 30, 2024.
• Examination Centers: Examination centers will be established in each district based on the number of applicants.
• Languages: The examination will be conducted in Sinhala and English.
• Eligibility: Candidates must meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
  • Completed Grade 10 and studied in the final class of the Dhamma school for at least one year.
  • Passed the General Certificate of Education (O/L) examination with at least six subjects, including Buddhism, or passed the Senior School Certificate examination with Buddhism.
  • Passed the Senior Examination of the Buddhist Student Examination conducted by the Colombo Young Buddhist Association.
• Examination Fee: The examination fee is Rs. 200, but first-time applicants are exempt. The fee for re-sitting one subject is Rs. 50.
• Application Process: Applications must be submitted through the principal of the registered Dhaham school. The application form can also be downloaded from www.donets.lk.
• Examination Fees Payment: The examination fee must be paid to the Sri Lanka Examinations Department through any post office in Sri Lanka.
• Fee Refund: No refund of the examination fee will be provided under any circumstances.
