Bachelor of Social Work Degree Program (BSW) 2025 – National Institute of Social Development (NISD)

The National Institute of Social Development (NISD),is now inviting applications for its Bachelor of Social Work Degree Program (BSW) 2025.

Program Highlights:

• Institution: Recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC), NISD is one of Sri Lanka’s premier institutions offering higher education in social work.
• Duration: Full-time four-year program.
• Medium of Instruction: Sinhala, Tamil, or English.
• Fees: Tuition is free, with only a registration fee of Rs. 35,000.

Bachelor of Social Work Degree Program (BSW) 2025: Eligibility Criteria:

• Applicants must have completed their G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) Examination in 2021, 2022, or 2023.
• A credit pass (C) in the English Language subject at the G.C.E. Ordinary Level (O/L) or in General English at the G.C.E. A/L is mandatory for those applying to study in English.

Selection Process:

• Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written selection test in the medium they have chosen for their studies.
• Those who pass the written test will be invited for an interview.
• Selection will be based on the combined merit of the written test and the interview.
• The written test will include general knowledge and an aptitude test, conducted in Colombo or other provincial centers.
