Open University of Sri Lanka Invites Applications for Bachelor of Management Studies Honours Programs

The Faculty of Management Studies at the Open University of Sri Lanka (OUSL) is now accepting applications for its Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) Honours programs for the academic year 2024/25. These programs offer specializations in the following areas:

• Bachelor of Management Studies Honours
• Bachelor of Management Studies Honours in Accounting & Finance
• Bachelor of Management Studies Honours in Marketing Management
• Bachelor of Management Studies Honours in Human Resource Management

Admission Requirements: To be eligible for these programs, applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

a) Have three passes in one sitting at the G.C.E. (A/L) Examination, Sri Lanka.

b) Successfully complete a Foundation Programme with up to 60 credits at Level 1 and Level 2 offered by the Open University of Sri Lanka.

c) Successfully complete an Advanced Certificate program with 30 SLQF credits at SLQF Level 2 offered by the Faculty of Management Studies of OUSL. (In this case, the Selection Test will not be applicable).

d) Successfully complete an Advanced Certificate program of OUSL with 30 SLQF credits at SLQF Level 2.

e) Hold an equivalent or higher academic or professional qualification acceptable to the Senate.

Additionally, candidates must pass a “Selection Test.”

Important Dates and Details:

• Selection Test: The test will be paper-based and conducted onsite on October 6, 2024, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon at all Regional/Study Centres of OUSL.
• Application Fee: Rs. 750/=
• Issue of Applications: From August 1, 2024
• Closing Date for Applications: September 10, 2024
• Medium of Instruction: English
• Program Duration: 4 years (Complete two years and earn a Higher Diploma in Management (HDip Mgmt))
