B Ed (Hons) Degree 2025 – National Institute of Education (NIE)

Applications are invited from National Diploma in Teaching holders of the National College of Education  for the B Ed (Hons) Degree 2025 Programme conducted by the National Institute of Education

B Ed (Hons) Degree 2025 Eligibility:

Applicants must hold a National Diploma in Teaching (NDT) from a National College of Education (NCoE) and have passed the G.C.E. (A/L) examination. They should be permanently employed and actively serving in one of the following services:

• Sri Lanka Teacher Service (SLTS)
• Sri Lanka Teacher Advisor Service (SLTAS)
• Sri Lanka Principal Service (SLPS)
• Sri Lanka Teacher Educator Service (SLTES)
• Sri Lanka Education Administration Service (SLEAS)

Nature of the Course:

• Duration: Part-time, offered over weekends and school holidays.
• Mode: Combines online and face-to-face sessions at regional learning centers.
• Medium: Sinhala/ Tamil/ English
• Credit Exemptions: Diploma holders receive a 60-credit exemption.
