• Teachers must apply for transfers to specific schools with vacancies in their subject area.
• Teachers who do not specify a school will be assigned by the relevant Zonal Education Director.
• Teachers applying for transfers with substitute must ensure the substitute is appointed before their transfer.
• Teachers applying without substitute will be transferred to another school within the province based on vacancies, starting in the second week of January 2025.
• Appeals for rejected transfer applications can be submitted to the Uva Provincial Director of Education until January 20, 2025.

• Teachers applying for inter-provincial transfers without substitute will be released from their current position.
• Teachers applying with substitute will be released after the successor is appointed, following guidelines outlined in Ministry of Education Secretary’s letter no. 9/A/12/2/2/1 dated December 4, 2024.
• Teachers transferring to national schools must follow Public Service Commission Circular 04/2020(1) procedures.
