The Ministry of Education has officially announced the 2024 Link Language (English) Examination for officers of the Sri Lanka Education Administrative Service (SLEAS) Grade III. In accordance with the gazette notifications of 1928/28 and 2015, this examination will assess the English language proficiency required by education officers for effective communication and administrative tasks.
Every officer of the Sri Lanka Education Administration Service shall acquire proficiency in English as the Link Language within one (03) year from the date of recruitment.
An officer who obtained at least a C pass or higher in the English subject in the GCE O/L examination and recruited through the medium of English are exempted from the requirement of passing this Link Language (English) examinatio . All other officers must pass this exam.
