Applications for B.Sc. Honours in Agriculture for Public Officers – University of Jaffna

The Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Jaffna has announced the admission of public officers for the B.Sc. Honours Degree Programme in Agriculture for the academic year 2022/2023. Eligible public officers are encouraged to apply to join the programme as internal students.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Applicants must have passed the A/L Examination in Biological Science and be qualified to enter the university OR hold any other qualification approved by the Faculty Board and the Senate.
2. They must possess a Diploma in Agriculture with a course duration of no less than 2 years from a recognized institution.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience at a technical officer level or higher in the field of agriculture after obtaining the Diploma is required.
4. Applicants should be under 45 years of age as of the application closing date.

Application Process:

• Applicants must download the form, complete it, and submit it along with a payment receipt for Rs 100/-, deposited in the People’s Bank (Reference No: 010000150001681 of Bursar, University of Jaffna).
• Completed applications should be sent through the relevant Heads of Departments to the Senior Assistant Registrar, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Jaffna, Ariviyalnagar, Kilinochchi by registered post. The envelope should be clearly marked with “Application for Admission of Public Officers for Degree programme B.Sc. Honours in Agriculture – 2022/2023.”

Selection Process: Eligible candidates will be invited for a written test and an oral examination. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
