The 2024 GCE A/L Examinations, which were postponed for six days due to adverse weather conditions, are set to resume today (December 4), the Department of Examinations announced.
The exams had been delayed from November 27, disrupting the initial schedule. According to the revised timetable, the subjects originally planned for December 4 will take place as scheduled. This includes the Chemistry first paper, Technology Science first paper, and Drama and Theatre first paper (in three languages) in the morning session, while the Political Science first paper will be held in the afternoon.
To ensure clarity, the Department has distributed updated timetables to all candidates. These revised timetables are printed on colored paper to distinguish them from the original white ones. Candidates have also been informed through newspaper notices and other media channels.
The updated timetables can be downloaded from the official website of the Examinations Department.
The Department has confirmed that no examinations will be conducted on December 24, 25, and 26, in observance of the festive season, and all coordinating centers will remain closed on these dates.
Regarding security, the Commissioner General has assured that robust measures are in place to safeguard all question papers. If required, immediate actions will be taken to ensure the secure transfer of question papers to the examination centers.
